Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has just released a report on Indonesia's trade sector in October 2014. Although scored a surplus of US $ 20 million, the difference between the export-import balance was below the expectations of analysts polled by the Wall Street Journal (US $ 25 million).
Indonesia's exports for the month of October 2014 reached US $ 15.35 billion, an increase of 0.49% compared to September 2014. Based on the data above, the Indonesian trade surplus in November was US $ 0.02 billion ($ 20 million). The trade surplus obtained from the calculation of the non-oil sector surplus of US $ 1.13 billion and oil and gas sector deficit of US $ 1.11 billion. In terms of trading volume, the surplus in October 2014 stood at 30.66 million tons.
