Two international fashion house, Gucci and Christian Dior have used weaving Indonesia to be used as raw materials in their products. Indonesian Weaving has been trusted by the international market. Weaving Indonesia is considered very valuable because of handmade (hand-made). Weaving is the work in the form of fabric made with thread and put in the feed on an instrument called the warp. And weaving was subdivided into songket, which is woven with gold or silver thread, then there belt, double belt, and feed. That's what makes the international brand like Gucci and Christian Dior to cooperate with weavers in Indonesia.Of course we are proud to see the original Indonesian fabrics mighty rich in terms of craftsmanship is featured on the international designer runways from Milan, Paris, and now London. In the Spring of 2010 fashion week, Frida Gianini of the Gucci fashion house issued a collection of cocktail with Tribal theme that uses Ikat (woven and woven motifs typical of Indonesia especially Sumbawa).
Burberry was issued for the 2012 Spring collection which also uses Ikat charming. Combined with comfortable fabrics, made Burberry appear very distinctive.
